Mumbai, India- June 6, 2024: The PU Innovation conference, organized by the India Polyurethane Association, was held in Mumbai with the theme "Building Sustainable Innovation for Accelerated Growth in the Polyurethane Industry." This event aimed to explore and promote sustainable development within the polyurethane sector. Wanhua Chemical's South Asia Regional Business Manager, Yang Bo, was invited to present on "Introduction of MDI as Binder of Molded Wood Pallet," providing an in-depth analysis of how the green revolution is driving industry growth.
Low-Carbon MDI Molded Pallet Solutions
Mr. Yang highlighted that MDI molded pallets utilize waste wood, plant fibers, and agricultural and forestry residues as raw materials. This innovative approach achieves a wood resource utilization rate of over 95% and reduces carbon emissions by 50-80%. The pallets can be crushed and recycled into new products, cutting down chemical resin usage by 80% and advancing green circular processes. Additionally, each 40-foot container can load 1,650 pallets, 260 more than traditional pallets, significantly improving transportation efficiency. The shorter hot pressing time enhances production efficiency by over 50%, facilitating industry upgrades.
